This is a track from a demo CD by a new jazz and swing octet in Pittsburgh, PA, named "Swingtet 8." Joe Lagnese is the leader and arranger of Swingtet 8 and composed and arranged "Swingin'," the tune you are hearing. Swingtet 8 is very interested in booking your private party or dance in the Pittsburgh area. We also do a well-received program on the history of jazz and swing music. This song was written for my wife, Cathy. It is performed by the jazz quintet "Jazzin'. It's a light bossa. performers are: Bob Leidhecker, drums;Ken Wittman, bass;Steve Adams,keyboard:Rob Byham, Flugel Horn, and Dick Adams(no relation to Steve as far as the rest of us and they can figure) on tenor sax and congas. This was recorded by Tim Breon at our annual concert at the CTL in downtown Williamsport,PA in early March 2006.
