Help - Setting up My Music Store

How to setup my music store?

  1. You need to signup a Paypal Premier or Business account. Both are free through paypal. Important note: Paypal Personal account will not work .
  2. Once your Paypal account is setup, login your Ucombo account. Then go to "Store Setup". Here you will enter your Paypal email address. That's all Ucombo needs from you to setup your payment system!
  3. While you're in the "Store Setup" page, please feel free to personalize the look of your store. You can add a slogan up to 200 characters. You can also upload a background image to replace the standard background.
  4. Now you're finished with your storefront and payment gateway!

How do I upload music?

Please login your Ucombo account and go to "Upload Music". Here you will upload MP3 files. You have 3 options:

  1. Upload a song for showcase only. Please don't select "Add to Store".
  2. Upload a song for showcase only. Please don't select "Add to Store". However, you can allow free download by selecting "Allow download".
  3. Upload a song for your store. Please select "Add to Store". The song will be added in your store inventory instantly. Please enter the price you want and decide how long of the song you would like to showcase as a demo/preview. There are 3 choices: 5%, 10% or 25%. Important Note: It is recommended that you cut the demo short by selecting one of the options. However, you may choose to show 100% of the song as a demo.

You may upload as many songs as you want. Next we will show you how to organize your music inventory.

Organize your music inventory

As soon as a song is added to your store, it will be displayed in your store account under "Tracks". A demo button, time, and price will be shown. You must activate each track for sale.

You can:

  1. Simply login your Ucombo account and go to "Manage Store". Activate each track by checking "Activate". Then click on "Update Store" in the bottom. Now your store is ready for business.
  2. Organize the tracks by albums. Login your Ucombo account and go to "Manage Store". Here you will create an album by entering the price and release date, etc. Once you're finished creating an album, simply select the album name next to each track. So the tracks will be organized by albums. Once you're done, select "Activate" next to each album and tracks. Then click on "Update Store" in the bottom. Now you're really in business!

Don't forget to double check your store. Go to "Preview My Store" and check each track to make sure the price, bitrate, sample, and timing are displayed correctly. The file is not loaded correctly if any of the information is missing. Delete the track from the store, go back to "Upload Music", delete the file and re-load.

What do I do to update the album information?

Login and go to "Manage Store", click on the album photos and you will see the Album Update Form. Please don't forget to activate the updated album.



How do I pause a sale and delete a track and album?

In "Manage Store", you can delete or unselect "Activate". Please don't forget to "Update Store" after each change.



How do I view my store?

Login and go to "My Account". Or type in the web browser www.ucombo/your_userID/store.



I have added songs to my music store when I uploaded them, how come I don't see them in My Store?

You need to activate the songs in Manage My Store.



I decided to add my existing songs to my music store

To add your existing songs to the music store, go to Upload My Music. On the right column, click on "Add to Store".
